Trigger Pull: Great in both single and double action. For a shell-loading revolver, the double action is the best I've come across, with next to no friction like I'd usually find with these kind of revolvers.

Accuracy: I averaged 351 FPS with fairly heavy lead pellets which is not bad! In warmer conditions or using lower weight, higher velocity pellets I'm sure the FPS will get up and over 400 FPS. I was very impressed with how well-centered the Webley MKVI shot, I even got 3 rounds right in the bullseye. # of the rounds got outsid eof the bullseye just a bit to the right, resulting in about a 2 inch 6-shot grouping. I'm sure I could tighten this up with more trigger time using this revolver.

Build Quality: The Webley & Scott Mark VI Service Revolver is pretty much all metal construction other than the plastic grips and any internal seals. The fit and finish is excellent, with great overall weight in the hand. The only complaint I have is the grips being a thin plastic, kind of low quality compared to the rest of this otherwise high quality revolver.

Realism: In terms of replicating a real steel MKVI .455, Webley really did a great job with their CO2 pellet-firing version. Webley even included a Small Arms Training Manual based off of the real steel variant. They based the revolver from the original blueprints and the licensing is from the original 1915 version. The only real tell that this is a CO2 revolver would be the small safety switch and the lower right side frame and the CO2 valve located right behind the hammer.

Pros:

  • Built from original blueprints with original 1915 markings
  • Break barrel design makes shell-loading easy
  • Deep recessed barrel with true .455 caliber opening
  • Well-concealed CO2 compartment
  • Great weight and feel in hand at 2.4 pounds
  • Hammer and trigger action is great in single and double action
  • Fairly discreet safety location
  • No ugly warning instructions on the gun!

Cons:

  • Plastic grips seem cheap compared to rest of this high quality gun
  • Could be a bit loud for some backyard shooters

Comments: If you're looking for a beefy shell-loading revolver then consider the Webley & Scott Mark VI Service Revolver line. Both the BB and pellet versions perform well, and the break barrel design makes them super easy to reload without even having to take the shells out if you choose not to. Accuracy and power is up to par and the overall quality is also very good.
